Study Centre
Shalimar Student Centre is the latest initiative of Projects in Education Limited, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the formation and development of women of all walks of life in their personal and spiritual lives.
Apart from providing a quiet space for university students to study, the Shalimar Student Centre through its Mentorship Programme provides primary and secondary school students who lack a supportive family and social environment with the necessary support to overcome obstacles to growth, development and success.

Through the various programmes run by the Shalimar Student Centre, disadvantaged youth throughout Trinidad and Tobago receive support and character building skills which help them to make a positive difference in any environment. They are also encouraged to make positive choices which in turn lead them away from crime, underperformance, unwanted pregnancies, low self-esteem and value impoverishment.
In addition, Shalimar provides University students with the necessary leadership skills and training to help them become positive role models and mentors. These students are also equipped to become future leaders in their various career and life paths.

Shalimar offers high school girls, undergraduate and graduate women a serious study atmosphere to allow them to achieve academic excellence. Shalimar’s family atmosphere is conducive to developing friendships.
For many years Shalimar has been offering mentoring to young women. Students who so desire can enrol in a mentorship programme that would foster their character development. Our mentors are seasoned professionals with experience in dealing with students.
In turn, we encourage our students to give back to society by providing mentorship to younger children through a programme called SUMMON. See more.

Club for Girls
Members of the girls' club learn craft, cooking, etiquette, sports, music, culture and much more while developing great and long lasting friendships.

Our Inspiration
Shalimar was inspired by the message of Saint Josémaria Escriva, founder of Opus Dei, a prelature of the Catholic Church which aims at striving to find God in our work, in our dealings with others, and in all aspects of daily life. For more information visit www.opusdei.org .
Shalimar is open to students of all faiths. Those who desire to deepen their knowledge of the Catholic Faith can receive Christian formation through several programmes.
